Was off work yesterday, did some shopping and other bits & bobs! Was planning to go running about 2.00pm and do about six miles.
Well it started off ok but after about two miles I was totally knackered ended up only doing four and I didn’t run all that! Now the day before I had a long day driving to Luton airport and back in the early hours of the morning so was probably still tired from that. Also I don’t prepare well enough! When I am at work I make sure I drink plenty of water when I am at home I forget!!
Anyway am at work today and I am very busy stopping till at least 6.00pm but I will be going for a run tonight hopefully with a better result than yesterday.
This weekend, it is the weekend I don’t have my kids!, I have entered a 10k.
It is the Goose Fair Gallop at Kimberley. Never been to Kimberley before but according to the AA route finder it is 30 minutes from my house. So should be fun and will hopefully improve my fitness before the Worksop half!
Should find out soon whether I have got into next years London marathon not hopeful as it is the first time I have applied and I am not that lucky!
Cheers
ps. Did four miles Saturday.

Did nowt!
Nothing, not a thing!
Will do a short run tomorrow. Sunday no running as at some ungodly hour of the morning I am off to Luton airport to pick up my mate and his family who have been sunning themselves in Cyprus! I have however got Monday off work so after a nice sleep in an eight mile run will be the order of the day.
Thinking about fitting in a 10k race in the next couple of weeks!
Will let you know.
Have a good weekend and I will see you on the other side, cheers.

Going home in a minute!
The life of an international playboy is non-stop!
I have got to go home early as my landlord is fixing my toilet!
In other news my friend, colleague & running buddy Tammy has been made redundant, now I am going to miss her, she was one of the nicest people you could wish too meet.
Oh and she had great legs!

Great game!
Stags 2 - 1 Oxford Utd, what a great game, fantastic!
Football rumours this morning are that Sol Campbell has quit Notts County not surprised he has a history of being a bit mardy! Think it will do the squad good galvanise the rest of the players.
After my night off last night it is out pounding the streets again tonight at least six miles. My next official race is the Worksop half marathon on the 25th October. But if the next week's training is ok I might sneak in a 10k before.
Am wearing my ankle support all the time at the moment it is getting better all the time, running is strengthening it and the only time it is sore is first thing in the morning but after a bit of stretching it is fine.
Cheers

Did three!
Steady three mile shake down run last night! Legs feel tired this morning but resting them tonight!
Managed to scrounge another season ticket for tonight's game so my brother can come too, I enjoy watching Mansfield Town as I am not as emotionally attached to them as I am my beloved Notts County so I can just relax and watch the game.
The company for whom I work have chosen a charity for the company to support for the next twelve months and it is 'Cancer Research UK' so hopefully I might be able to get some sponsorship if I run for them.
Right, must get cracking, cheers

WOW!!

That was tough, one weeks training after four weeks off does not get you ready for a half marathon! Did it in 2 hours 2 minutes 25 seconds, slower than my first attempt and nearly 25 minutes off my pb! Though it was a lot hotter, more crowded and I have only just recovered from an Achilles strain! Which is just about better!
Excuses out of the way!
It was a hard race due to the heat and the lack of preparation but I enjoyed it, the atmosphere was great once again and the Red Arrows were superb. Southshields looks a nice place and deserves a visit.
Have now got to buckle down for the Worksop half in about a month so tonight a short shake down of approx 2 miles, rest night tomorrow as I am off to watch the Stags v Oxford Utd and then a longish one Wednesday.
See ya

GNR Countdown!
Even though I shouldn’t have done I went out for a long run last night! I did eight miles and the ankle was not bad. My prediction for my race time is about 2 hours 15 minutes so a lot slower than my pb but I don’t want to aggravate my ankle plus I get to enjoy the atmosphere more.
I am really excited about Sunday can’t wait!
Report to follow.
cheers

Patsy, Patsy, Patsy

Still no phone call!
Been running today! The first time in five weeks, did 3.32 miles in a very steady 29 minutes. My ankle is not too bad a little bit sore but probably feels the best it has done for a while. Bought an ankle support from Boots, £15!! but seems to help!
With the Great North Run in ten days and my fitness not being too good I am hoping to get some miles in over the next week.
So I am going to see how my ankle is in the morning and if ok then I will be running again tomorrow night and working out a timetable for the next week.
Fingers crossed.
cheers

Not a lot to say!
Still no running think I will have to visit the hospital after the GNR my ankle and leg is not right!
So have been doing lots of press ups and cycling trying to keep my weight in check and I definitely want that six pack!
In other news, I have recently started watching the repeats of 'Lewis' now I was a big fan of "Morse' but did not think that the follow on would be any good! How wrong was I? It is fantastic better than 'Morse' in my opinion, so I have bought series two (£7 from Tesco) and have ordered series one & three! In fact I will be watching another episode later tonight.
Well work tomorrow which I am not looking forward to! My job has over the last year become crap to say the least!
Now where is that lottery ticket?
cheers
