Cotgrave Paws 10k Race Report
YES!!!!
A new PB my quickest 10k yet 45 minutes and 10 seconds! Just need to get under 45 min next! (see never happy!)
Beautiful weather and just like last year a great atmosphere, this race is definately my favourite. Really nice t-shirt and free cakes & biscuits what more could you ask for. The course is pretty good one steep hill and a steady incline which you have to do twice and the finish is up hill. But a pb is a pb and I know I can get faster just need to put the work in.
cheers

Ten minute bike challenge (part two)
Did the 'how far can you go in ten minutes challenge' again last night! Beat my personal best with an impressive (for me) 6.22km in the ten minutes.
Also got confirmation that I am in the Cotgrave 10k on the 9th of April. This is a small race but one of my favourites very friendly and well organised and in a lovely park.
So two races in two weeks and my training for the White Peak marathon continues, I was looking at water bottle belts at the weekend. I think I will get one as it could be pretty warm come May and I want to give myself the best chance of getting round in one piece. Also need to do some practice runs wearing it so I might get one on Wednesday. Having the afternoon off on Wednesday as I have some flexi time and I don't want to lose it.
cheers

Off after today!
Just for a bit.
Running going well, seven miles Sunday and five miles yesterday.
Tonight it is the gym.
I am already for pay day when I will be entering the Retford Half (13/03/11) and the Cotgrave 10k (09/04/11). I am treating the Retford Half as a training run for my marathon in May. The Cotgrave 10k I ran last year and really enjoyed it and it is really cheap.
cheers

17/04/10 Cotgrave Paws 10k Race Report
This race was brilliant it goes down as one of my favourite races.
It was excellent value for money, very friendly, well organised and for charity!
The venue was Cotgrave Country Park; I had never been before but was very pleasantly surprised. Great facilities close to the start and a very nice course looked quite complicated but the marshals were great and you were never in doubt of where to go. There was one steep hill which was almost impossible to run up!
Was slightly disappointed with my time, even though I said I was just treating them as training runs. But it was very warm!
To sum up a great race which I will definitely do again!
17/04/10 Cotgrave Paws 10k stats;
Time: 47.04
Position: 41 out of 164
Condition: Hot but happy!

Cotgrave 10k tomorrow and...
...Belton 10k trail run Sunday.
Did a steady seven miles last night and I am looking forward to a weekend of running! Not expecting to break any pb's treating them more as training runs!
I do get to run round some pretty places though, see below for a picture of Belton House!

Have a great weekend
cheers
