Running tonight...

...not far about 4 or 5 miles.

Have started my taper for London though I have got a race on Sunday the Belton Cup 10k which is a tough one all off road and one really steep hill. Need to concentrate on where you put your feet as very easy to twist an ankle and with London only three weeks away!!!

Can't wait!

Oh, best time on the revised Belton route is 50.10.

That was boring!

Sport Relief 6 miles it was six one mile laps!

Very boring and not the best organised ended up doing about 6.5 miles in 49.33 and at the finish there were no medals left :(

Worst of all my knees hurt so tonight some low impact training, exercise bike I think.

cheers

'5370'

My number for London starting to feel real!

Ashby 20 18/03/12

The rain in the night woke me up, it was chucking it down. Up at six for my porridge and it was still raining, left at eight and it was still raining!

Arrived at Ashby at nine and it was still raining!

Now the start is about a fifteen minute walk so wearing a bin bag off I went. The start was at ten and miraculously the rain slowed and after about two miles stopped and the sun started to come out.

The route is two laps which is horrible felt great until mile 17 when my hip started to hurt and I had forgotten my pain killers!!! So stretching, running, stretching for the last 3 miles I finished on a very muddy finish line in 3:02.27, it was tough as it was hilly but it was 20 miles and I am confident London will be ok (as long as I remember my pain killers) and at London I won’t have to drive myself back.

Roll on London.

Report on Ashby will follow, oh and I can walk now :)
